Download Website 19 Jul 20:26 Virtual Object System 0.20.0

Screenshot

The Interreality project is a collection of Open Source, Free Software projects based on the Virtual Object System (VOS) platform. The goal is to develop a free and open platform for multi-user 3D virtual reality games, applications, and interactive, collaborative 3D virtual spaces. VOS is a powerful and generic network object framework designed to support a variety of high-performance applications. It is the basis for Ter'Angreal, a general-purpose browser application for entering and participating in 3D worlds.

Release Notes: A multi-threaded architecture based on thread pools, a new extension system, and a new application framework providing support for command line parsing were added. An abstract 3D layer has been implemented as a plugin to the Crystal Space engine. Configuration files and dynamically loaded plugins are now supported. A plugin-based OmniVOS server makes it easy to configure a custom server. A persistance layer can keep site state up-to-date in a MySQL database or a filesystem. A search language was added for selecting and downloading many objects at once. A Blender Python script was added to export Blender 3D scenes to A3DL.

Download Website 19 Jul 20:17 Propel 1.0.0beta2

Screenshot

Propel is an object persistence layer for PHP5 based on Apache Torque. In practical terms, it allows you to use objects instead of SQL to read and write rows in your database tables. It provides a generator that creates SQL definition files and PHP classes for your datamodel, and a runtime engine that transparently handles object persistence and retrieval. It makes it easy to customize generated classes; additionally, the use of XML, PHP classes, and the Phing build tool make it easy to integrate Propel with an existing application framework.

Release Notes: This second (and hopefully last) beta release fixes several minor bugs and introduces some useful new features. Prominent among the new features is a redesigned project directory layout, separation of the runtime and generator codebase, support for read-only generated objects, support for lazy-loading columns, and support for a new XML runtime configuration file format.

Release Notes: This release fixes Solaris support, fixes a couple of issues regarding HTML support, adds support for GTK+ 2.x, and contains a minor speed improvement in client-server communication.

Download Website 19 Jul 20:15 Dolda Webmail 0.6

Screenshot

Dolda Webmail (or d-mail for short) is a Webmail system written in PHP and interfacing with a back-end IMAP server. Advantages over most other projects of a similar sort are that it uses a persistant connection to the IMAP server (which increases performance on the Web server, reduces load on the network and on the IMAP server, and doesn't force the Web server to store the user's password in-core), and that it makes full use of XHTML 1.1 and CSS 2.

Release Notes: This release has native language support (that is, its interface is translatable) and (experimental although very functional) support for displaying HTML messages.

Download Website 19 Jul 20:10 Simulum 0.00.03

Screenshot

Simulum deals with different simulations of star movements and their visualizations. At first it looks at the projection and accumulation of star brightness. In actually doing this it distributes stars among a three dimensional figure. To get a nice effect it combines the photographic image production with a moving view point. So the outcome is the visual impression of flying through a star field. Secondly it studies different algorithms of particle movements and clustering. The primary approach uses a combination of Newton's gravitational law, energy, and impulse conservation. At all these stages an highly dynamic view of the processes is able to be produced.

Avatar

Release Notes: Width and height have no influence on the projection. Adjustable parameters added: "stars" (number of stars); "delta" (movement speed); "radius" (viewpoint distance); "sensitivity" (star brightness); "normale" (boolean)(adjust normale to zero point); "linear" (boolean)(linear or circular movement).

Download Website 19 Jul 20:07 DaDaBIK 3.1 beta

Screenshot

DaDaBIK is a PHP application that allows you to easily create a highly customizable Web interface for a database in order to search, insert, update, and delete records; all you need do is specify a few configuration parameters. MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and MS SQL Server are supported. It is available in several languages.

Release Notes: A new select query engine which fixes the problems related to multiple references to a linked table and the multiple use of the same field name. It should also increase DaDaBIK speed. A basic authorization model: it is now possible to allow a user to delete and/or modify and/or view only his own records. For authentication, the class simpleLogin has been (probably temporary) used, but it is possible to easily customize the authentication. A new field type (rich_editor) is a rich text editor (htmlArea 2.03) that allows you to easily insert/modify HTML content.

Download Website 19 Jul 18:34 GalaxyHack 0.5

Screenshot

GalaxyHack allows you to design a fleet of spaceships which can then be tested in AI script based battles against fleets designed by other players. Though battles take place in real time, the strategy comes beforehand, both in writing short AI scripts in an easy-to-use proprietary scripting language, and also in the set up and selection of your forces.

Release Notes: Network play has been removed. Instead, you can download other fleets to test yours against from an online database. You are encouraged to submit your own. Because of this, old fleet data files will no longer work. Old unit files and AI scripts will still work fine. It is now possible to script simple arithmetic in AI scripts: +, -, *, /, ++, and --. There is a new variable that allows you to check the number of units left in the group, and a new variable that allows you to check how many torpedos are already flying towards a given capital ship. There are various minor changes/improvements.
