KWebGet is a KDE based frontend to wget. It can be used to download single files or to mirror whole Web sites to your local hard disk.

It detects worms with base-64 signatures (such as Klez, Hybris, and BugBear), HTML IFRAME exploits, CLSID hidden extension exploits, -XML code base exploits, executable extensions (bat, pif, vbs, vba, scr, lnk, com, and exe), and macros for doc, dot, xls, and xla files. It also detects most Nigerian scam e-mails.

Some highlights include a bug that prevented the X Window System from starting on a node that crashed and rebooted, incorrect CPU times for remote processes, incorrect ttys for migrated processes, various problems with the migrate(), rexec(), and rfork() system calls, issues with the shutdown and clusternode_shutdown commands, a deadlock in the NFS server, and bugs in the clusterwide /dev/pts. Kernel debugging code has been disabled to prevent annoying messages. A troubleshooting guide for CVIP and HA-LVS has been added.
SHENAN is a customizable ncurses-based C/C++ IDE, with speech support. It uses swap files to keep track of changes to source files. It features session recovery, automatic file saving, various word processing features, and automatic indentation.

PhpDig is a Web spider and search engine written in PHP, using a MySQL database and flat files. It builds a glossary with words found in indexed static and dynamic pages. On a search query, it displays a result page containing the search keys, ranked by occurrence. It includes a template system and can index PDF, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint documents using external tools.
Release Notes: New features include click tracking, cron job file management, fuzzy search ("did you mean X instead?"), PPT support using external binaries, support for TIS-620, and the ability to search by site or directory. The GET request was modified to pass cookies. Reading of robots.txt was updated. The spider is limited to a maximum of Y links per depth per site. Multiple session IDs and var names are removable. Base href tags are read for indexing. Some extra characters are allowed in URLs. The plural form of some phrases was updated. "-" index pages can be removed.
SearchLog can be used as a searchable weblog. It is designed with usability in mind, and uses highlighting and easy linking between entries to give the user maximum power for minimum effort. It is much more than a weblog, however. It was designed as a knowledge management tool. It serves as a personal information management tool and portal. It is powerful and versatile enough to do several jobs well.

Release Notes: This release is based upon the Mandrake 10.0 (Official) i586 Linux distribution. The RAM filesystem is 24 Mb and now needs at least 32 Mb RAM to boot. The Logical Volume Manager (LVM2) tools and the NTFS driver v2.1.14 and ntfsprogs-1.9.2-1 were added. CD/DVD burning support was added, using cdrtools-2.01a27-ossdvd and growisofs v5.17. Remote CIFS SMB Samba or Windows folders can be mounted for backup over the network. The boot method was changed to isolinux. The kernel 2.6.7 is configured to use the so-called Preemptible scheduler profile.
genCore is a part of GAF (Genetic Algorithms Framework), which is a cross-platform framework for using Genetic Algorithms for solutions. It is written in Java and uses convenient plug-in features for every phase in the genetic development, while maintaining an easy-to-use API for easy integration into applications. The genCore module is the heart of GAF, as it is the engine for the GA itself.
Release Notes: Circuits has been implemented and included. The TSPSolution example now supports it using the XML version of it.
Musicextras is a program for automatically retrieving extra information for songs. Currently it retrieves lyrics, album covers, artist images, and more. It was designed to make it easy to add other functionality. Information is obtained using plugins that parse Web page data. An example for having XMMS automatically load information for the currently playing MP3 is included.
Release Notes: This release fixes a problem where images weren't showing up, as well as a few other small problems.
Beast is a powerful music composition and modular synthesis application. It offers multiple input methods like multitrack, piano roll, and pattern editing and supports skins. On the technical side, it has a wide range of abilities like sequencing, unlimited undo/redo history, real-time synthesis with multiprocessor support, full duplex 32-bit audio rendering, precise timing down to sample granularity, on demand loading of partial wave files, on the fly decoding of various sample formats, aliasing free oscillators, and full Scheme scripting support.
Release Notes: A lot of tiny but important details were fixed in this release, such as major GUI resizing issues and ADSR brokenness. It also has a lot of language translation updates, and supports more fine grained note quantization and note lengths.
CocoaCEDICT is a Cocoa interface to the CEDICT Chinese (Mandarin) English dictionary. It supports looking up words by their English definition, Pinyin pronunciation, traditional Chinese text, or simplified Chinese text, and more.

Soulcatcher is a Squid redirector designed with educational establishments in mind. It is designed to be easy to use and to allow updating easily via a command line.
Release Notes: This release adds url_size, fqdn_size, ident_size, and method_size to the config file. A massive bug in duplicate/keyword checks has been fixed. It now checks the allowed before the disallowed, and checks the subnet options before the ACL options. Memory usage is now lower, and should be a bit faster. User checking has been added, so you can disallow/allow usernames. There are major changes to checks, a lot of cleanup, program arguments to allow you to build certain domain and URL databases, bugfixes, and a lot more.
DNRD is a proxy DNS daemon. It supports several forward servers for redundancy and/or load-balancing. DNS queries for specific domains can be forwarded to a specific group of DNS servers (with redundancy and load balancing) for that domain. It is very useful in VPN and dialup environments but can also be used as a DNS cache or ad-blocker for networks and workstations.
Release Notes: This release fixes a lot of the bugs and limitations in the previous releases. It now supports an unlimited number of forward DNS servers, and an unlimited number of domains. It can load-balance the DNS servers in a round-robin scheme, and has some enhanced deactivation/reactivation logic for DNS servers that time out.
SandSurfer is a Web-based Perl CGI application for time tracking and billing. It was developed to keep track of time for each employee on a per job/client basis and then to bill the appropriate amount. Each job and/or client can have a different billing rate. Employees can be paid different amounts per job and client. It features employee time sheet entry, auto clock in and auto clock out, gross wage calculations for each employee in a given time period, exporting of data to a file, and HTML invoice generation.
Release Notes: This release implements sessions for authentication and to prevent users from accessing your account after you log out (a bug introduced in version 1.7.0). The database interface is now using DBI instead of the Pg Perl module. The HTML code is now using the HTMLObject everywhere instead of the really old style output. The reporting engine is now XML-based, which allows for more control of what you see in a report, and the ability to export timesheet data, entities, users, jobs, and tasks as XML. Users can now edit some of their info.

AEditor is a programmer's editor for Windows, Unix, and Mac OS X that relies on the fox toolkit. It can do syntax coloring of Ruby and C++ files. It's easy to change the color theme. Most things are customizable. It is written in Ruby and is carefully unit-tested (it has 421 tests). It is written in only ~5500 lines of code, so it should be easy to grasp and extend.
Release Notes: This release has a GUI that works on Windows and Unix. It has syntax coloring for Ruby that can correctly deal with Ruby's heredoc syntax (few editors deal correctly with heredocs). Theres a good theming support, and most things are customizable.
Hiveconf is a system for storing configuration data in key-value pairs. It works in a manner similiar to the Windows registry and GConf. Configuration data can be retrieved and modified using a simple API, and data is stored using different backends. The default backend uses a text file format that is similiar to smb.conf or Windows .INI files.
Release Notes: The library now supports deletion of folders and parameters. A few bugs have been fixed.
MCL-edge is an integrated command-line driven workbench for large scale network analysis. It includes programs for the computation of shortest paths, diameter, clustering coefficient, betweenness centrality, and network shuffles. A module for loading and analyzing gene expression data as a network is provided. The MCL algorithm is a fast and highly scalable cluster algorithm for networks based on stochastic flow. The flow process employed by the algorithm is mathematically sound and intrinsically tied to cluster structure, which is revealed as the imprint left by the process. The threaded implementation has handled networks with millions of nodes within hours and is widely used in the fields of bioinformatics, graph clustering, and network analysis.

The new --apropos option for mcl outputs a one-line synopsis for all options.
