Gmsh is an automatic 3D finite element grid generator with built-in CAD and post-processing facilities. Its design goal is to provide a simple meshing tool for academic problems with parametric input and advanced visualization capabilities. It is built around four modules: geometry, mesh, solver, and post-processing. The specification of any input to these modules is done either interactively using the graphical user interface (based on FLTK and OpenGL) or in ASCII text files using Gmsh's own scripting language.
Release Notes:
ptybuffer was designed to get rid of screen/expect constructs to improve stability. It daemonizes programs which need a TTY/PTY to operate. Unix domain sockets then can connect, send lines to the program and receive the output (with history) of the program in real time. It also includes NWNadm, a PHP-based Neverwinter Nights server administration frontend, which includes a demonstration of an easy Web-based command-line shell access to the computer.
Release Notes:
The cidentd program is written for people who wish to have a working ident daemon but who do not necessarily want to allow the the responses to be truthful. This program can be configured to report the login name or UID on a per user basis without the need of the sysadmin recompiling the program or even restarting the daemon. It can also be used to hide the login name with a literal string, or an error message.
Release Notes:
md5backup allows users to back up files to another hard disk or NFS volume, storing files under their MD5 sum. This way they can check the file's integrity without the help of the original computer, and files with identical content are only stored a single time.
Release Notes:
MARIE is a new design tool for mobile and autonomous robot applications, designed to facilitate the integration of multiple heterogeneous software elements. It is a flexible tool based on a distributed model, thus allowing the realization of an application using one machine or various networked machines, architectures, and platforms.
Release Notes:
jRoller is a rollercoaster simulator. It is intended to be mainly entertaining and not scientific. The track and many physical variables are automatically generated from a number of fulcrums freely placeable. The application does not make use of any 3D acceleration and should run on any decent Java-enabled browser.
Release Notes:
Kasablanca is a graphical FTP client. Among its features are support for both command and data encryption (via auth TLS, not SFTP), FXP (direct FTP to FTP transfer), a bookmark manager, and a queueing system.
Release Notes: Changes were made to the user interface, such as configurable fonts and the ability to move items in the queue with drag and drop. The bookmarks were extended. Alternative fxp is now supported. Support for servers behind a NAT was enhanced. System tray functionality was added. A small bug was fixed.
