Zina is a graphical interface to your MP3 collection, a personal jukebox, a Podcaster, and an MP3 streamer. It includes an optional Flash player, a tag editor, and can search the Web for album art and song lyrics. It can run alone, be embedded into an existing Web site, or be used as a module in Drupal, Joomla, and Wordpress.
Release Notes: This release added the option to display "Artist - Title" as the song title in specified directories. It also fixed a small error in the Chinese translation.
NanoBlogger is a small Weblog engine written in bash. It uses common Unix tools such as cat, grep, and sed to create static HTML content. It's command line driven and supports archiving by category, year, month, day, and entry. It's designed to be modular, flexible, and independent of external databases.
Release Notes: This release improved the updating routines, enhanced the display of the calendar and weblog status plugins, fixed a bug when deleting entries from categories, added documentation for the management and importing of entries, added new command line options for the body and description of a new entry, and introduced two new CSS style sheets.
slapt-get is an APT-like system for Slackware package management. It allows you to search Slackware mirrors and third-party package sources (such as www.linuxpackages.net) for packages, compare them with installed packages, and install new packages or upgrade installed packages, all with a few simple commands.
Release Notes: A few minor feature additions were made. Package data is now only downloaded if the package source is newer than the cached copy. The default download progress now shows percentage instead of a spinner. A Swedish translation was added and miscellaneous code and documentation updates were made.
Mambo is a full-featured content management system that can be used for everything from simple Web sites to complex corporate applications. It has a rich feature set, a long history, and a stable codebase.
Release Notes: This version fixed a PHP 5 compatibility issue, added XML parameter definition support for modules and components, removed the 'one instance' of a component in a menu rule, added the PEAR::Cache_Lite class, and added a copy button to the Modules page. Subdirectory browsing was implemented in the content image tab and administration performance improvements were made. Installation database prefix support was added along with DOMIT RSS/RDF support. The minixml libraries were replaced with DOMIT and JSCookMenu was upgraded. This version works with Safari and Mac IE.
GalaxyHack allows you to design a fleet of spaceships which can then be tested in AI script based battles against fleets designed by other players. Though battles take place in real time, the strategy comes beforehand, both in writing short AI scripts in an easy-to-use proprietary scripting language, and also in the set up and selection of your forces.

Jaffa (Java Application Framework For All) is an enterprise-focused Java framework for rapid application development. It provides a complete Java Web application development stack, extending exsiting projects like Tomcat and Struts at the frontend with MVC-based web widgets, all the way through to a high-performance lightweight O/R persistence engine, with plenty of rich features in between including rules engines, declarative application, and data security. In addition to the runtime framework, there is a suite of component templates and other tools for rapid application development, including a TogetherSoft plug-in for UML intergration.
Release Notes: This release included new versions of JaffaBaseline, JaffaComponents, and Example1. It also supports Tomcat 5.0 with jsp pre-compiling, full relational integrity supported in the v1.1 domain pattern, a new bean moulding framework for updating and retrieving graphs of domain objects, and two new database schema importers that import domain models from the database or the ErWin CASE tool.
G3D is a C++ library for game developers, researchers, and students. It is a base of robust and high performance code common to most 3D projects. It is not a stand-alone graphics or game engine, but is a set of pieces to jump start your own engine or graphics project. The library has two parts: G3D for pure math, and GLG3D for interacting with hardware acceleration via OpenGL. You can use G3D without GLG3D if you want to use another 3D API (like DirectX) or don't like the OpenGL abstraction.
Release Notes: Support for the AABSPTree class that accelerates collision detection, rendering, and ray tracing was expanded, and TextInput/Output were added for easier parsing and unparsing of human-readable file formats. Support for Rect2D (including Draw::rect2D), which is aimed at processing video streams on programmable hardware was improved. Max/Min alpha blending was added. Several bugfixes for MSVC 7 compatibility and enhancements targetted at GeForce 6800/Radeon X800 were made. This release builds on all platforms but contains only Win32 binaries.
The GUIShell project is a collection of utilities facilitating the use of the GTK+ toolkit in shell scripts through the gtkshell utility. The ACE configuration environment provides sample scripts utilizing gtkshell for desktop utilities. rootcat provides the ability to display messages to the root window using Xft, allowing one to write status display scripts.
Release Notes: The label formatting code was rewritten in C, greatly improving speed. The documentation was updated and some build system improvements were made. A greater number of widgets is now allowed, making it possible for the file manager to browse larger directories. Editing of new files with the text editor was fixed. An experimental xlib version of the arshell utility, arshell-x, was added.
Ports Manipuator is a graphical ports collection manager for FreeBSD. It features a GTK+ 2.0 interface that allows you add, remove, or upgrade software packages on your system without requiring use of the command line. It can display details about available, installed, and out of date ports, as well as allowing you to search based on port descriptions.
Release Notes: This release added Natural Language Support (NLS) and a log window for showing the output of commands. Users can now choose an output filename when building packages. A problem that occurred when the pkg-descr file was missing for a port was fixed. GTK+ 2.4.1 is now used. A bug where the main window could only be resized and grown and not shrunk was fixed.
jweather is a Java library for parsing raw weather data (e.g. METAR, TAF). It currently focuses on parsing and providing an API for access to METAR data.
Release Notes: The library is now distributed under the LGPL. Support for connection timeouts was added, multiple parsing bugs were fixed, and international METAR token fixes were made.
Dudki! is a process maintenance daemon that checks whether certain processes are running (based on pidfiles) and, if needed, tries to restart them. It supports a self-test commandline invocation which can be used in a cron job.
Release Notes: The ability to send signals to processes being monitored was added. It is now possible to checks processes using the process name instead of a PID file. Small but important build and distribution fixes were made.
LFS-Bootscripts is a package of shell scripts and configuration files that drive the bootup of a Linux From Scratch (LFS) system.
Release Notes: Minor bugfixes and changes to network setup to account for the use of iproute2 instead of net-tools.
usb-mount provides desktop integration for systems using the hotplug scripts and the KDE desktop. It automatically mounts and unmounts USB storage partitions and modifies the user's desktop, via the addition of icons representing USB storage device partitions. The user can interact with the storage device by opening the desktop icons to reveal the folders corresponding to each partition. Each partition's mount status can be altered by using icon control options.
Release Notes: Desktop signal actions were finished and some minor fixes and improvements were made in response to user feedback.
UPS monitor is a graphical monitoring application that lets users watch a UPS's status in real time.
Release Notes: A GladeXML bug which caused remotely connected UPSes not to work has been fixed. There are usability improvements in error messages and consistency in routines, translations in the spec file, improvements to the README, and additions to the TODO.
Mondo Rescue archives Linux and Linux/Windows systems to tapes, CDs, DVDs, USB devices, or ISO images that may be used to restore some or all of your OS and data in the event of catastrophic data loss, or for cloning a system. The emphasis is on stability and ease of use. Currently, ext2, ext3, ext4, (v)fat, minix, ReiserFS, XFS, and JFS filesystems are supported, as are RAID, DM, Multipath, and LVM.
Release Notes: ACLs and extended attributes are now supported.
S.C.O.U.R.G.E. is a Rogue-like game with a modern user interface. The game allows a group of four characters to search for treasure, kill enemies, gain levels, etc.
Release Notes: The new features in this version include projectile weapons, working mission objectives, visible character stat modifiers, levelling up, 3ds object shading, autotools support, better combat, better map movement, more monsters and items, and many bugfixes.
3rd Edition Dungeons and Dragons Character Generator is an HTML/JavaScript Web page that allows the user to quickly and easily create new Dungeons and Dragons characters. The characters can be of any of the eleven classes, any of the playable races, and may start at any level from 1 to 220. Generation requires some simple input, after which the character is displayed on a basic character sheet. It allows you to select your starting stats, add ability points, and pick skills, equipment, feats, and spells. It runs on most operating systems with most modern browsers.
Release Notes: Racial bonuses for halflings and gnomes have been fixed. They were not getting their size bonuses to base attack and armor class.
Xdialog is designed to be a drop-in replacement for the dialog and cdialog programs. It converts any terminal-based program into a program with an X interface. The dialogs are easier to see and use, and Xdialog adds more functionality such as a help button and box, a treeview, an editbox, file and directory selectors, a range box, and a calendar. It uses GTK+, and will match your desktop theme.
Release Notes: This release adds the ESC keyboard shortcut for the CANCEL/NO button. Indonesian, Dutch, Polish, Italian, Catalan, and Swedish translations have been added. Xmessage and textbox samples have been changed for compatibility with bash-less systems. This release has been updated for gettext v0.13.1. There are fixes to the spec file for automake bugs.
MultiTail lets you view one or multiple files like the original tail program. The difference is that it creates multiple windows on your console (with ncurses). Merging of 2 or more log files is possible. It can also use colors while displaying the log files (through regular expressions) for faster recognition of what is important. It can also filter lines (again with regular expressions). It has interactive menus for editing given regular expressions and deleting and adding windows. One can also have windows with the output of shell scripts and other software. When viewing the output of external software, MultiTail can mimic the functionality of tools like 'watch'.
Release Notes: This release can monitor wildcards: if another file matching the wildcard has a more recent modification date, it will automatically switch to that file.
Phex is a P2P filesharing client which is based on the Gnutella network. It offers advanced functions and integrates all common Gnutella extensions like multi-source downloads and advanced search features.

JD-CVS is a program that automates the downloading and installation of programs via CVS. It creates Debian, Slackware, and Redhat packages.

Capitalizer is a MiddleCapsHack work-alike that lets you capitalize all characters that cross the middle graffiti line, and do punctuation by drawing in a specified area, both under OS5 Graffiti 1. It also includes a number of handy features for OS5 units with keyboards.

Liferea (Linux Feed Reader) is a fast, easy-to-use, and easy-to-install GTK/GNOME desktop news aggregator for online news feeds and Web logs. It supports the important syndication formats (Atom, RSS, and OPML). Liferea supports offline reading.
Release Notes: Please stop using 0.5.2. There is a severe bug which can destroy your subscription URLs. It has been fixed in this release.
Xplanet was inspired by Xearth, which renders an image of the earth into the X root window. All of the major planets and most satellites can be drawn, similar to JPL's Solar System Simulator. A number of different map projections are also supported, including azimuthal, Mercator, Mollweide, orthographic, and rectangular.
Release Notes: Cloud maps from the Space Science and Engineering Center can be used.
Japha is an effort to implement the major functionality of the Java library in PHP. The functionality captured in the JPI includes I/O, utility classes such as data structures, Web service architecture, and reflection classes, lang classes for implementing a standardized API, bean classes for creating a standard bean implementation, SQL classes for database persistence (via the Web service architecture), and database abstraction as well as Object-Relational mapping, networking functionality, and even some complex math.
