Condict is a program for creating dictionaries. It is written in Python, and uses the wxPython GUI framework, as well as the PyXML library.

storebackup is a backup utility that stores files on other disks. It includes several optimizations that reduce the disk space needed and improve performance, and unifies the advantages of traditional full and incremental backups. It also can handle big image files with block-wise changes efficiently. Depending on its contents, every file is stored only once on disk. It includes tools for analyzing backup data and restoring. Once archived, files are accessible by mounting filesystems (locally, or via Samba or NFS). It is easy to install and configure.

Release Notes: This version fixes some minor bugs and minimizes the number of MD5 calculations and DBM accesses.

The MILLE-XTERM project's goal is to provide a robust, flexible, and scalable infrastructure for massive deployment of X-terminals. Ir will provide a practical solution to the management of thousands of X-Terminals in a school district (for instance).

Release Notes: Components are now all usable. The boot server includes LTSP patches to use new components. The app server now uses a load balancer independent of the boot server, and the list of printers is now defined on a per client basis. In the config server, login is functional and a prototype of the interface was tested in Mozilla and links. The installation directives were updated and there is plenty of new documentation.

There are a lot of smaller things like automatic favicon updating, favicons in the search results, a feature where the Mozilla browser module now respects proxy settings, and a popup menu for the tray icon.

Spook is a live video distribution server intended for a streaming Webcam or remote monitoring. The server uses a modular configuration system for importing video from live sources, applying processing on the fly, encoding to one or more compressed formats, and distributing the feeds over a network. Spook provides true, high-quality streaming by producing MPEG4 RTP streams, available on demand with RTSP. Modules are also included to provide JPEG stills via HTTP.

OpenAIS is an open source implementation of the SA Forum (www.saforum.org) Application Interface Specification. The project currently implements APIs to improve availability by reducing MTTR. APIs available are cluster membership, application failover, checkpointing, eventing, distributed locking, messaging, closed process groups, and extended virtual synchrony passthrough. It is possible to write redundant applications that tolerate hardware, operating system, and application faults. Cluster software developers can write plugins to use the infrastructure provided by OpenAIS.

Release Notes: This release features bugfixes to group messaging to work with fragments, export of the group messaging as a library for use in other applications, several bugfixes relating to token loss during formation of a configuration, a group messaging retransmit function to avoid configuration change in stable networks, per-connection info that is stored in the poll abstraction and passed to each poll handler instead of in a global array, a major rework of library locking code to use reference counts for counting references, and fixes so that inding to a specific interface now works correctly.

There are now more operations with bits including bits copying, and partial support of variable indices. Examples were added. The setup now works in Python < 2.2.3. There are a lot of bugfixes, and minor architecture changes.

Avidemux is a graphical tool to edit videos. It can open AVI, openDML, MPEG, Nuppelvideo, and BMPs. Most common codecs are supported (M-JPEG, MPEG, DivX, Xvid, huffyuv, WMA, etc.) thanks to libavcodec and libmpeg2. Video can be edited, cut, appended, filtered (resize/crop/denoise), and re-encoded to either AVI (MPEG4/MJPEG) or MPEG 1/2. The Spidermonkey Javascript engine is used to give powerful scripting capabilities.

Release Notes: This release fixes a couple of bugs (including a crash on P4 for lavcodec MPEG4 and proper AC3 cut) and adds a MPEG- TS demuxer and a basic OGM writer. New filters include decimate and telecide ported from decomb, and msmooth ported from D. Graft. There are now also basic scripting capabilities.
