Embedthis Appweb is a fast little Web server. It is ideal for embedded applications, devices, and Web services. Features include: both sync and async paradigms, SSL, TLS, basic and digest authentication, virtual hosting, loadable modules, Apache style configuration file, PHP, ESP, Ejscript, CGI, sandbox resource limits, logging, an angel monitoring process, and extensive conditional configuration and compilation controls.
Release Notes: This release folds all recent development branch enhancements into the stable branch. Major features are support for uClinux, uClibc, and PHP5. It also has major enhancements to the Embedded Server Pages module including session support and post-back pages.
AcpiTool is a Linux ACPI client. It's a small command line application, intended to be a replacement for the apm tool. The primary target audience are laptop users, since these people are most interested in things like battery status, thermal status and the ability to suspend (sleep mode). The program simply accesses the /proc/acpi or /sysfs entries to get or set ACPI values. A computer running a Linux kernel from the 2.4.x or 2.6.x series with ACPI enabled is needed. It also supports various extensions for Toshiba, Asus, and IBM Thinkpad laptops.
Release Notes: This release adds initial support for Toshiba ACPI extensions and a man page.
aMule is short for "all-platform eMule-like file-sharing program", or, in short, "all-platform Mule". It's a port of the well-known eMule P2P client for the eDonkey2000 and Kad file sharing networks, supporting most of eMule's features. Additionally, it provides a small separate Web server and command line interface to connect to a running aMule via the network.

TkNotePad is a simple text editor like the Windows notepad.
Release Notes: This release updates tkTextSetCursor to use tk:: TextSetCursor which is now in Tcl/Tk 8.4. It now works with Fedora core 2.
FOX is a C++-based toolkit for GUI development. It includes a rich set of widgets and has powerful yet simple layout managers, MDI widgets, and mega-widgets. FOX incorporates support for XDND for drag and drop, X clipboard and X Selection, watching other I/O channels and sockets, timers and idle processing, object serialization and deserialization, a registry to save persistent settings, and 3D widgets using Mesa or OpenGL. FOX works on Linux, IRIX, Solaris, HP/UX, AIX, Tru64 Unix, Windows 9x,NT,2K (VC++, GNUWIN32, Borland, VisualAge C++), FreeBSD, and Sequent.

rtfx converts RTF files into a generic XML format. It focuses on keeping metadata such as style names rather than every bit of formatting. This makes it handy for converting RTF documents into a custom XML format (using XSL or an additional processing step). It used to be called 'rtfm', but was changed due to a naming conflict.
Release Notes: This release adds support for footnotes, superscript, and subscript. It removes extraneous duplicate tags, and fixes a number of small bugs.
h5utils is a set of utilities for visualization and conversion of scientific data in the free, portable HDF5 format. Besides providing a simple tool for batch visualization as PNG images, h5utils also includes programs to convert HDF5 datasets into the formats required by other free visualization software (e.g., plain text, Vis5d, and VTK).
Release Notes: This release features a new h5math utility to combine HDF5 files with symbolic expressions. It supports Matlab-like notation to output a sequence of slices with h5topng.
Open Quartz is a project to supply artwork to create a full game based around the Quake source code. The pak0 module contains content (maps, models, graphics and sounds) and Quake code which controls the behavior and rules of the game. There is also a playable version available that ships with the Darkplaces engine by LordHavoc. The final goal of Openquartz is to become a 100% replacement for the original Quake game data that runs in all the free Quake engines available at present.

DrFTPD is an FTP server written in Java. It does not handle transfers in the same way that normal FTP servers do. Instead, it merges multiple FTP sites into one, creating a distributed FTP site/FTP cluster containing one master and many slaves/nodes. When a client wants to transfer a file from DrFTPD, DrFTPD finds the slave which has the file, and tells the appropriate slave to transfer the file instead of handling it itself. This allows huge gains in total bandwidth and disk capacity.

YOS is a compact, personalized, and optimized OS with support for apt-rpm and tgz packages, with 1200 packages carefully selected and compiled for speed and stability. It has an automatic hardware detection system which should detect most modern hardware.
Release Notes: This is the final release for Yoper version 2. Version 2 is a complete redesign of Yoper based around kernel 2.6 (2.6.7) and apt/rpm support. Patches to the kernel include Con Kolivas performance patches, win4lin support, vmware support, reiserfs4, Secure Shell file system, CDROM Supermount, and Ndiswrapper. All of the latest available software packages are also integrated (gcc-3.4.1, glibc-2.3.3, kde-3.2.3).
PhpDig is a Web spider and search engine written in PHP, using a MySQL database and flat files. It builds a glossary with words found in indexed static and dynamic pages. On a search query, it displays a result page containing the search keys, ranked by occurrence. It includes a template system and can index PDF, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint documents using external tools.
Release Notes: The main feature of this release is that it allows users to limit the spider to a specific directory on a remote site. Some minor bugfixes are included too.
TYPO3 is a Web content management system which features automatic creation of navigational menus, headlines, and other dynamic graphical elements, automatic conversion and scaling of images, the ability to present different templates based on variables such as client browser or country code, support for multiple templates on a site, and a built-in password-protection option. Pages can be timed to be shown on a certain date, be hidden on a certain date or just temporarily hidden. TYPO3 supports search in SQL-databases and redesigning of a website at once is just a matter of creating a single new template.
Release Notes: Some bugs in the extension manager and the install tool were fixed. A fix was added for the famous RealURL bug where Internet Explorer was not able to display any popup images. Minor issues in the fe_adminLib were solved.
Abeni is a Gentoo Linux ebuild GUI editor written in Python/wxPython. It helps users create syntactically correct ebuilds efficiently. It incorporates the Scintilla editor for syntax highlighting and Lintool for syntax checking.
Release Notes: Patches may now be created with ease. The template system was improved. Private portage functions may be browsed and viewed. Major bugs in ordering of ebuild elements were fixed.
Evolvotron is an interactive "generative art" application to evolve images/textures/patterns through an iterative process of random mutation and user-selection driven evolution. If you like lava lamps, and never got tired of the Mandelbrot set, this could be the software for you. It's implemented using Qt, and is multithreaded.
Release Notes: A -spheremap option was added, which generates textures suitable for use with POVRay's "map_type 1". A dialog for controlling individual function probabilities was added. Numerous minor bugfixes and performance improvements were made.
qtnjb is a program to transfer MP3s between your hard drive and the Creative Nomad Jukebox series. It uses libnjb, available at http://libnjb.sf.net/.

Early Macintosh Image LoadEr (EMILE) makes it possible to boot linux-m68k from a floppy on a Macintosh such as a Mac II. It can be used to create rescue disks or remove the MacOS partition (required by the legacy penguin booter) from your hard drive.
